FlusserWiki is intended as a community resource of key concepts and references to be found in Vilém Flusser’s thought. The main purpose is to provide a resource for students and thinkers working with Flusser’s oeuvre and, especially to aid translators and to develop communities of people working with Flusser’s thought around the world.

The Flusser Wiki is a DokuWiki – a simple to use open source wiki software.

create a page

In Flusser Wiki, pages are created as in every other wiki. Simply create a link from an existing page to a non-existing page, follow this link, and click on Create this page (on right menu in the default template). This is the most common and recommended way. It ensures all your pages are linked together correctly and you don’t create orphans anywhere.
There’s also a screencast available explaining it in detail.

contribute to the Flusser Wiki

FlusserWiki started with a collection of glossary texts culled with permission from the 2015 publication Flusseriana accompanying the exhibition BODENLOS: Vilém Flusser and the Arts, curated by Siegfried Zielinski and Baruch Gottlieb with Peter Weibel.

Although the initial terms are from the Flusseriana, it is intended that every article in this wiki be edited, extended, honed, improved, and otherwise made more useful to the community, by the community.

The whole Flusserian community is invited to contribute pages, lists and links to

  • Flusser sources for  books, essays, videos, audio material, manuscripts, and correspondence
  • secondary sources by Flusser researchers and artists
  • profiles of Flusser researchers and artists or connected thinkers
